Made from driftwood from the Mediterranean fishing boats of Alexandria and Mexx, Egypt. It was designed as the female element for another chair hence the gentle, colorful and slender lines. The seat is the boat’s hull, the back rest is part of the captain’s cabin and the top piece is an oar holder , the arm rests and front legs are part of the boat’s skeleton. The legs are reinforced with steel converging bars for added strength and stability. The seating angle has been carefully calculated and you won’t believe how comfortable this chair is, even without cushions. It is finished to a really silky feel. The back of the chair has a lovely gentle turquoise color and the arm rests are a relaxing green and elongated like wings and provide a nice surface to put a drink. It’s a wide chair, big enough to sit cross legged.
